This was a huge task for me when I started to run giveaways last year. The amount of programs you can pick from are rather large and the prices swing wildly.

It’s all about what you want to get out of your giveaway.

In this post I will go over some of the most popular giveaway platforms so you can make the decision what one is best for you.

In this post I will cover some of the most popular sites which include Rafflecopter, Gleam, ViralSweep and Playr.gg

RaffleCopter

RaffleCopter is one of the more popular giveaway platforms as they offer a free version. If you are just starting out this could be a good spot to start to get the feel of running your own giveaway.

The free plan offers a good amount of flexibility however after your first successful giveaway you will want to be upgrading into a high tier package. The one I feel is the best is the plan called “GROW” since the biggest key here is the one click joining of a mailing list to an auto responder system such as Aweber.

You can find their pricing breakdown for here – Raffle Copter Price Breakdown

Gleam.io

Gleam.io is the giveaway platform I use for all of my giveaways at the moment. The amount of options you have for entries as well as tracking ability and ease of use really makes Gleam for me a true winner above the rest.

However all that extra flare does come at a cost. You can view Gleams price page here – Gleam.io Prices

You will need to drill down into each of their offers such as Competitions, Rewards, Captures and Galleries as they all offer unique items that gleam offers.

For the giveaway portion though you will be going with Competitions and you can view the pricing for there here – Gleam.io Competitions pricing.

The ProPlan should give you plenty of what you need to run a full massive giveaway with no limits. It will allow for seamless integration into autoresponders such as Aweber.

The Business Plan offers even more but comes with a massive monthly cost. You can remove any gleam banners/links on the widgets and customize the look and feel to match your brand.

The most powerful part of the Business plan though is the Promote Emails. Where you can email everyone that has taken part in your past giveaways with a click of a button to come to your new giveaway.

ViralSweep

Viral sweet is a new program I have been looking into. They offer some really clean new age designs and offer a large veroity of entry methods such as, Events, Lightbox popups, exit intent, leaderboards, codes, growth and more. Its almost like a fresh version of gleam.

You can view the pricing table for ViralSweep here – Viral Sweep price table.

The Starter plan should give you all what you need for running your next giveaway and a great place to start. Even on their lowest tier plan you can connect to 3rd party auto responders to build your list. Be sure to check out their example to get a feel for how it works.

The one key difference between Gleam and ViralSweep I have noticed is Gleam is still a little more fluid in terms of signing up and getting your first entry in. With ViralSweep it seems to require name and email first before they even see how to enter the giveaway which to me would reduce the number of entries you get.

Player.gg

Last but not least is Player.gg If your a content creator, run a stream on Twitch or Mixer then this is your sure fire solution.

By running a giveaway on their platform you will already be targeting gamers, twitch/mixer watchers/streamers which is a great audience to tap into. You will also be hitting their user base which will require less promotion work on your part.

Promote Your Giveaway

Once you have your giveaway setup it is important to post it on giveaway sites such as GiveawayMachine.com to maximize your exposure and get as many active people in your giveaway.
